Special Olympics is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides sports training and competition opportunities at regional, provincial, national, and international levels for individuals with an intellectual disability. Its primary objective is to contribute to the physical, social, and psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities through positive, successful experiences in sport. Enhance Sport Training & Competitions – Access to sport competitions provides an avenue for all the hard work and perserverence that athletes put forth year- round. Costs include registration fees, meals, accommodation, and transportation. Strengthen Coach & Volunteer Development – Coaches and volunteers help provide leadership and training. In order to assist athletes achieve their dreams and goals, coaches and volunteers need access to all available quality sporting resources. You can help Special Olympics athletes win at life! $5 will subsidize the payment for an athlete to participate in a sport.
Fundraising Event Sponsorship Sponsor one of Special Olympics Ottawa’s existing fundraising events or develop a new, customized fundraising event. •Sponsor an Athlete Special Olympics Ottawa is looking for individuals, families, or businesses to Sponsor An Athlete. You can be as creative as you like. You can hold a fundraiser such as a pub night, BBQ, silent auction, golf tournament, mini putt tournament, hold a go-cart race, a sport challenge or anything that interests you. The sky is the limit. We can provide you with posters and brochures for your event.
